Good afternoon EML families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful 9 days with their students. We are so excited to have our Tigers back this week.
As we look forward to the last 7 weeks of school, we realize that our testing season is just around the corner. As you know, our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students take the state SBAC test. This will start next week for our 5th graders when they take the state science test. The two weeks after that will be for all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders when they take the English Language Arts and Math tests. Let’s root them on! Additionally, our K, 1st and 2nd grade students will be wrapping the year up with their assessments, too. This means that all students should do their very best to get to school each and every day on time and ready to learn.
We also have some very fun activities to look forward to. This Friday we have some world famous BMX riders coming here to show us their moves and talk about hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Next Saturday, April 22, our color guard, fan dance and choir groups will perform at the New Haven Day. Their performance at James Logan High School will start around 10:15 until 10:45. We will also stream the school performance next Wednesday, April 19. Be on the look out for that email. Finally, we will share more information about our Field Day, Movie Days, and other fun activities as we near closer to the end of the year.
